4 wonderful years

Well yesterday was our Anniversary! Amazing how quickly time can go by and yet still feel like yesterday, but I feel that way about many things. We had a wonderful anniversary David spoiled me like he does every year! Cracker Barrel for breakfast, Red Raven for supper, movies, Flowers and a beautiful card!

It amazes me looking back on these past four years and what the Lord has done for us. Well for starters the "BIG MOVE", moving from Bemidji, MN to Flagstaff, AZ! Then I got a job two hotels down from David!  We both enjoyed our jobs a lot, but were very happy when we had gotten pregnant with Sophia! I worked there until the day I went into labor, and for some reason I thought she might come early so I only missed 1 day of work, because my last day was suppose to be the day she was born! Sophia came and I quit my job, or I got a "new job" I should say! Sophia was a blessing and her first week of life was a trial for David and me, Sophia having down syndrome wasn't the trial, Sophia being in the NICU was the trial! Having a baby, and having to leave her behind in the hospital when you are discharged is extremely difficult! Well it wasn't until we stopped bearing the burden on our own and started telling others from church that Sophia was in the NICU and asking for prayers that we started to finally see some hope for her coming home soon! Well only a week in the NICU is not too much to complain about since others have their babies down there for months on end, but hard on every parent non the less.

Then we wanted Sophia to have a sibling close to her to help her, so when Sophia was 8 months we were blessed with getting pregnant with Charles! After having not such a wonderful experience at the hospital we decided to try a midwife! Well we had a wonderful experience with a midwife and Charles was born at home! Then David got his new job General Manager of the Days Inn here in Williams, and then another not so big move. Now here in Williams we are!

Of course there were more things in those four years that have happened, such as finding FCF, becoming a member, starting bible studies meeting wonderful people and being blessed with many great friends! Well all in all the Lord sure has blessed David and me!

Here are a few pictures from our wedding day!

hehe, this I put for fun! A mouse had eaten are cake!

haha another funny one! There is always somethings that happen at weddings, such as a mouse getting into your cake, your sisters hair starting on fire, the wrong music, and yet if you ask me about my wedding day i'll tell ya it was perfect!

I think not

Well first 2 hrs were good Sophia seemed to enjoy the toilet, then after that she would  hold it while she sat and within a few minutes later go in her undies. So seeing that Sophia doesn't seem to wanna be potty trained just yet, I think Charles wants to be more! But who knows... I think i'm going to wait.

To start potty training or not?

Well I am beginning to think that Sophia is ready to start potty training, and yet I keep wondering if its still too early. It is a big change in both of our lives, keeping an eye on her to see if she needs to use to toilet, and her not just being able to go wherever! I did buy a little potty, but she just thinks its for her babies and the "big toilet" is the one she needs to use! She is such a silly girl, she has always been that way, she wanted to walk before she crawled because we did.

Well back to potty training, We had a normal morning this morning and about an hour ago I was like oooh yeah, I was going to attempt to work with her today. Well she has had her little undies on for almost an hr now and has gone on the "big toilet" twice.

So I guess I will see how she does today, and go from there! Of course diapers for naps and bedtime, can't expect her to learn that quickly! Although that would be nice!

Well here are a few random pics, some from when my mom was here and some just today! You can see Sophia's like 10th hair cut and Charlies first!

Sophias new goofy faces

enjoying time with Grandma Nancy

then decided to wrestle me on the floor, they both wanted to lay on me.

They discovered Grandmas bed!

Their new bike, although there legs are still too small, but they still enjoy it!

hair cut!

I think Sophia's haircut is more noticeable.

Blueberry Waffles!

So this morning was my first morning ever making or trying a blueberry waffle! Wow! Yummy! haha, didn't realize adding something to a waffle would make it soo good! And it was simple, took my waffle mix I normally make and just added blueberries! Simple! I know!
Well I have decided my breakfast were becoming quiet boring, eggs again! Even tho I can make almost any kind of egg now plus yummy omlettes! I was getting tired of eggs, and waffles, and pancakes! that was pretty much our breakfasts! Now I made blueberry waffles, and I am wanting to learn to make homemade coffee cake, home made blueberry muffins, and home made Cinnamon Rolls!!! yummy! Hopefully they turn out! If anyone has any good breakfast recipes I am open for one!
