Another fun weekend at Lake Powell

This was our first time actually camping with Sophia and Charles! We stayed in a tent, and the first night was a little crazy, Sophs has a hard time falling asleep especially if she is excited to around midnight she finally fell asleep the first night! Then they both woke up around 7, and the second night was a lot better, Charles fell asleep almost instantly when we got to the tent around 8:30 and Sophs probably fell asleep around 10.. or sooner. Well last time we went to Lake Powell we didn't get to see much of the Lake but this time they gave us the Grand Tour! Rainbow Bridge National Monument and we were going to go to another one but didn't have enough time, Lake Powell is HUGE and beautiful!

So now a bunch of pictures from our time there.

Marcus being silly, he sure does look like a monkey!

The Camp site, I didn't take a picture of our spot, but the view was awesome!

Playing with rocks and boxes

Boy time on the boat! Dogs included!

Views from Lake Powell

Charles loves the boat!

David actually caught a cat fish, but then let it go.

Sophia and Tank

They were so tired from their late night the night before they were super content just sitting and watching the Lake.

Our view from the chairs Sophs and Chars were sitting in.

Now off to Rainbow Bridge National Monument

This was the windy path to Rainbow Bridge National monument, coming back we had to turn around because a big tour boat was coming and we could both turn around a sharp corner together it was that tight of a squeeze some places!

Here is it, Rainbow bridge National Monument!

It was probably over 100 degrees by time we got here and the short hike to get up next to the monument seemed to far so David went alone...

Here he is under the bridge by himself!

Then we went back to our spot on the beach and Mark made a sand castle!

It started to rain so we headed back to our camp and saw beautiful rainbows heading back.

double rainbow!

My sweet little girl who got burned cheeks!

This was the dogs all worn out after the day on the lake!

Silly Sophs!

More of Charles and random pics

So day 2 of potty training and Charles got sick! So I didn't really keep up with the training but then today he did good again! Although since he was sick yesterday with the (excuse my language) runs, I wasn't wanting him to run around naked in case he wasn't feeling good still. But besides went he went poo and another time his diaper stayed dry! Even on our evening walk to dairy queen and around Williams, we got back I put him on the potty he went and then off to bed he went!
I don't think I would trust him without a diaper going to town anytime soon but so far he has made this way easier on me then I expected! and Sophs, well she is another story altogether! I think once Charlie has been going for a while she will start to think about it, but I also realize she has always had fuller diapers then Charles and has needed to be changed more, not sure why that is, I feel like Charlie drinks more water and what not then her, but she does seem to go potty ALL THE TIME!

running laps while there brushing there teeth! Don't worry I help them first then let them do it themselves and they think they are pretty smart!

Sophs copying Charsman!

One more lap before we fling ourselves on the couch!!

Charles thought he was pretty hilarious!

Potty Break through!!!

So all day I have had Charles running around naked (which he LOVES) and he has only had one accident! Which is pretty amazing since his first time peeing on the toilet was this morning. Of course I put a diaper on him for a nap, which was probably the worlds longest nap, but oh well! So i'm pretty impressed with my smart little boy, although I don't know if he'll keep up his good work but impressed all the same!

Sophs on the other hand could care less about Charles using the toilet and no this diaper, so i'm thinking its just not the time for her... one at a time I guess!

Potty Training!?

So I have tried for months it seems to set Charlie on the toilet without clothes on to only have him cry! He loved it with clothes on but once they were off he CRIED! David does it once with him and he thinks its the COOOLEST thing in the world! Yup not sure when it happened but Dads SO MUCH cooler then MOM! lol Well back to potty topic! So now he thinks its cool to sit on the toilet but I can't figure out how to get it through to him that its OK to go bathroom in the toilet! He will sit there forever just to get off get his diaper on and go! Sophs is just stubborn she can go and knows she should and she will hold it and pee in the hall once she gets out of the bathroom whether she has a diaper on or not. She is my stubborn one and Charles scared of getting in trouble! LOL such different Kiddos! So MOMS with potty trained kids any helpful tips would be very much appreciated!

Fourth of July

It was our second Fourth of July down in Williams, went to the parade this year! We can't remember if we did last year or not, but pretty impressed with how many floats there were for a small town! My dad made it up for the parade which was fun, the kiddos seemed to really enjoy the parade this year! They actually got a few cool things from the parade like a glow necklace that they have worn everyday since! a birdie whistle and lots of candy that David and me have enjoyed!

Sophia and Charlies fourth of July outfits! Although it got colder just before the parade so they had to change to something warmer.

Charlie thinks he is a Mr. Fixit already! He is trying to open the door with a nail! I know what your thinking a nail!? Yes, he still some how finds them from all our repairs! I vacuum all the time and never find any on the floor and yet he still finds them some how...

Soph didn't nap on the fourth and decided grandpa looked comfy!

Charlie with his sweet smile!
